"My name is Erika and I am 28 years old and live in Los Angeles. I graduated from college a few years ago and entered the job force immediately. Recently, I started a new job working with youth in the foster care system. I teach professional development through the performing arts to youth transitioning out of the foster care system (16-23 years old).
I realized that I wanted to go back to school for my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy to receive more training and open more doors for myself in the field. I had two requirements while looking for a Masters program. First, the program needed to be fully online; I am working full-time and unable to add the commute to night school into my schedule. Flexibility was key. Second, I don’t want to go into debt. Luckily, I graduated from college debt free and I wanted to stay on track with my financial goals.
I went to the California Government Boards of Behavioral Sciences website and looked up every school with MFT programs and compared each one. Daybreak University was the only online program that was affordable, and flexible. I would be on track to graduate and get my California license for marriage and family therapy all while working full-time. I recommend Daybreak to anyone who is looking to advance their career or start a new one. This University offered me the opportunity to pursue my dreams without having to go into massive amounts of debt and continue my full-time job. Daybreak University is for anyone who wants to help change the world." MA in Marriage and Family Therapy, Licensing Track
